Sorry I’ve been MIA from the Weekly Photo Challenge. It’s all down to work – I have so much of it that I don’t get as much time as I would like to mess about on the internet, which is good as I work free-lance. Anyway I’m in it this week with one old photograph (the butterfly) and two new ones (the Praying Mantis).
I found this beauty lurking in a folder unedited in my bugs and beasties folder on my PC (I’m currently clearing out my folders as I’m eagerly awaiting a new PC being delivered this week) Anyway a quick levels and sharpening and we have a lovely butterfly.
This not so pretty beastie has decided that the back of my bench is a good place to live. Now I can no longer sit on the bench… He flew (jumped?) onto my hair the first time I saw him so I think he thinks we’re friends now. He’s wrong.
But I did name him Eric. Don’t you think he looks like an Eric? No, just me?

Thanks Miriam. In the first photo Eric was facing away then he turned to me. I was shooting hand held though so I couldn’t get more of him in focus as I was too shoogley (shaky) 😊

Hi Alba after not remembering how to calculate love by names i.e. Eric loves Alba and getting a love percentage, I went to http://www.love-tester.com and and entered your names and it spits out 53%. Now that may sound sketchy but if you go to the interpretation of the scores the comment for 41% to 60% is as follows:

Well I know true love is not all about looks, it’s personality that’s important…. but he IS pretty ugly (even though I just told Rover he wasn’t). I don’t know if I could have a future with Eric – I guess I’m just shallow after all. 😐

Eric is missing half an antenna. Perhaps he left it in your hair, hoping that you two could communicate incognito. Do you hear things at night?

AND during the day…. so it’s Eric who encourages me to do stupid things!
Actually I think it’s just out of focus or moving. I was hand-holding (the camera, not Eric) and it was hard to get him in focus. Both his antennae are in other pics I took.
